We did the Zookeeper room at Cityscape Games for a date night with my husband and it was awesome. The room looks cool, the puzzles are fun, and it was exciting the whole time, not boring at all. Daniel, owner, was super nice and helped just enough when we were stuck. The escape room was amazingly intricate. My son was able to be involved and solve everything in the room (besides 1 thing he wasn’t tall enough for). Daniel did a great job onboarding us and, at my request, kept us on track time wise with little hints here and there (perhaps 4-5) so that we could complete the room. We were looking for a fun experience more than the most gut wrenching challenge and Zookeeper and Daniel delivered. Don't get me wrong, As an adult that has done a handful of escape rooms and is good at puzzles, Zookeeper is challenging and no walk in the park. Our booking was for 2pm but we couldn’t show up until 2:30pm. When we got there Bria was there and helped us with everything we needed to get started. I've done several escape rooms, and I'll admit it is not my favorite activity, not gated, just not a favorite. We sucked at this one in particular. I know, this sounds all bad, it is not! The game and design was awesome, we chose Rockstar and probably should have chose the other, easier one, because our squad was handicapped by me. The pros - when you reserve a room it is only for you and your guests so you are not paired with strangers, the place was super clean, the host was awesome throughout - to the point he offered hints if he felt we got too far off the next task, the game was extremely well done. I went and did the Rockstar escape room with my coworkers on Thursday. I had a lot of fun doing it. I absolutely appreciate the erasable notepad there so I could work out some the puzzles. (Also, thank you Bria for the hints and for letting us continue working on the puzzles even after the time ran out.) I also appreciate the artistry that goes into coming up with the scenario, the puzzles and the answers, and building the set with the props (especially the locks with the musical symbols on them).
